Shekhar Kammulla’s ‘Leader’ will celebrate its 100 days run on the 29th of May at HICC in Hyderabad.
Produced by one of South India’s most reputed cinema houses AVM, ‘Leader’ marked the debut of Tollywood’s next sensation Rana Daggubati. All his previous movies being family and love oriented movies, Shekhar Kammulla broke the jinx and made ‘Leader’ about the quintessential politician in a society.
The ‘100 days function’ will be organized in a grand way as Rana’s debut movie itself is running so successfully. The event will be attended by important persons of the film industry along with cast and crew of the movie. Thousands of Venkatesh’s fans are also expected to be part of the event.
Rana’s appearance and performance in the movie along with Richa and Priya have received a good name. Mickey J Meyer’s music was also an added highlight in the movie. ‘Leader’ was not the usual commercial movie made in Tollywood but a thought provoking movie that our system must change.
Making such a movie is not an easy job. Handling a sensitive subject like politics needs quite a lot of guts and only a director of Shekhar Kammulla’s caliber can do it. Making a commercial entertainer with formula ingredients is always common but the Telugu audience has changed its point of view and has started encouraging movies like ‘Leader’ that makes all of us think about the politics in our country.
Congratulations to the ‘Leader’ team for running for 100 days! Wish the count increases by the day!
